A guy had a massive, and hilariously dramatic meltdown after his girlfriend had sent him to pick up a pair of black leggings.
Sounds simple to most people, but then you remember how many types of black leggings you can actually pick up from shops these days and the truth hits hard.
Now I live in various pairs of black leggings, cotton, three-quarter-length, leather, suede, you name it, I have it. But I know if I sent my boyfriend to pick a pair out for me, he wouldn’t have the first idea of what to get.
So when Taylor-Anne Gallagher asked her boyfriend, Tim Goddard, 28, to pick her up a pair of black leggings, little did he know what he was in for.
The 22-year-old, who is in her final year at university studying early childhood studies, told UNILAD:
I was at work and he was out shopping for my birthday presents (my birthday is next Monday the 5th) and I was in need of new leggings so I asked him to pick me up a pair.
He doesn’t always text me so many times like that but we’re both similar in a sense that when something happens or we’re excited we do tend to send a lot of messages one by one at once.
Here’s how Tim’s messages went down:
There’s so many types of leggings.
Why? For what reason?
Do you want ankle length or ones that don’t say ankle length?
Do you need ones with zips?
Why do some have zips?
This is incredible.
I fail to understand the need for eight thousand different types of black leggings.
Oh so now I’ve spotted that they have different thicknesses as well.
I’m feeling overwhelmed.
No wonder the number of women with anxiety is on the rise.
This is peak.
I don’t know what to get man.
I’m on the floor now in the foetal position.
Send help.
I’ve been in this shop for five days now.
I miss the sun.
Tay, I love you. Tell my family I love them too.
I’m using extra thick leggings for warmth now, but I don’t think I’ll last much longer.
Wait, I think I see someone.
Oh… no… nope, my bad. It was just another sign advertising another type of legging.
Also black.
All hope is lost. I’m going to make a break for it.
The tweet has been liked more than 23,000 times and had 4.2k retweets.
Plenty of people commented to tell her she had ‘a keeper’, and also to relate.
But the answer to the question everybody wanted to know? Yes, she did get her leggings.
She told UNILAD:
I did get the leggings! A lovely thick pair from H&M!
Hero.
