PowerPoint presentations don’t exactly scream ‘turn on’ but Ben Velzian thought he’d give it a go when a guy he’d been talking to suggested they met up.
Ben, a recent graduate, from London, had met Tom on Tinder and after speaking for a few days, he sent him a PowerPoint presentation full of date suggestions including museum visits, a game of mini golf and a wander through an art gallery in the capital’s east end.
Nice idea, right? You’d have thought so…
Ben told UNILAD:
I only spoke to Tom for about three days when he suggested we meet-up.
He asked for some suggestions, and I thought it would be funny to send a PowerPoint – honestly it really was tongue-in-cheek.

Ten out of ten for effort – and funny? Well, Tom didn’t appear to see the funny side, because upon receiving the presentation, he swiftly blocked Ben. Ouch.
But it’s ok, Ben thinks he probably ‘dodged a bullet’ on that one, because he says he doesn’t want to be with someone who has ‘no humour’. Fair play.
Not all is lost though, the gesture has earned him ‘free golf for life’ at Junkyard in Brick Lane, one of his date suggestions, who said Tom will ‘rue the day’.
And along with the free golf sessions for life, Ben has also had plenty of date requests…
He told UNILAD:
Over the past 24 hours I’ve had a lot of propositions for dates, so it’s all worked out very well – though I am yet to receive a powerpoint of my own.

While we thought the PowerPoint was a stroke of genius, Ben says he probably won’t be doing it again.
He told UNILAD:
I don’t think I will send another PowerPoint, I will just stick to a boring Excel Spreadsheet of estimated costs and timings.
