In an interview with UNILAD Kevin Hart has revealed he would like to be in the upcoming Breaking Bad film.
Last month it was confirmed that a stand-alone film set in the Breaking Bad universe was in the works.
The movie, written by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, is currently in production under the title of Greenbrier and will follow a kidnapped man as he escapes and searches for freedom.
According to /Film, the movie will be a sequel to the hit television show and see the return of Aaron Paul reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman whose story was left wide open after the events of the dramatic finale.
Bryan Cranston meanwhile, who played Walter White in the television programme, has said that while Gilligan has contacted him regarding the movie he is unsure his character will be a part of its story.
Currently no details about the cast have been released but Hart has said he would be keen to take on a role in the upcoming film, if Cranston will let him!
American comedian and actor Hart is best known for his stand-up work and funnyman roles in films like Ride Along, Get Hard, Central Intelligence and Think Like A Man.
In January next year though audiences will see a different side to Hart as he takes on his first more dramatic role in the upcoming remake of the hit 2011 French film The Intouchables, this time called The Upside.
Inspired by a true story, Hart will play an ex-offender who strikes up an unlikely friendship with a wealthy quadriplegic (Cranston) he is hired to help.

In an interview with UNILAD, Hart spoke about how this role presented him with a different challenge saying:
This is the first time I’ve done something in this space so I didn’t want to take the opportunity for granted, I wanted to make sure I was prepared and I understood this had to be very far from what you have seen me do in the past.
I wanted to make sure this performance was rounded, as real as possible, and I wanted to make sure that they were also able to hit on some things that were going on within my past. We addressed them in a very smart way.
For me it was also about making sure my portrayal was right of a man that was incarcerated who, when out of jail, was trying to get his life right but was always slapped in the face with reasons to take the wrong direction. But given the opportunity really took advantage of it but more importantly took advantage of the free education it gave him.
In The Upside Hart showcases his acting chops in a way he has never done before.
The Upside isn’t just a one off for Hart who told UNILAD he ‘would be interested in doing more dramatic roles in the future’ because ‘you always want to challenge yourself within the career that you choose’.
Adding that ‘you don’t want to do it all in one night’, Hart said he was on a ‘long road’ being ‘smart and patient’ when it came to choosing roles.
Since Hart is up for taking on more drama, we asked him whether he would be up for taking on a character in the upcoming Breaking Bad film and the answer was yes much to Cranston’s hilarious dismay.
Speaking to UNILAD, the actors said:
KEVIN: I am trying to get a part, Bryan doesn’t want me in it. He came over to my face and he said ‘you stay the hell out of it Kevin, we don’t need you in it’. That is heartbreaking.
BRYAN: That’s a quote.
KEVIN: I was just trying to be the drugs. I have said I can play just the drugs but he doesn’t want me to.
BRYAN: We got that covered.
KEVIN: They don’t want me in that at all.
Oh Kevin, we are sure Bryan was only pulling your leg!
I mean we don’t even know if he has a role in it yet!
The Upside will be released in US and UK cinemas January 11, 2019.
