One lucky punter put a free bet to good use managing to win over £33,000 with some lucky football predictions.
18-year-old Aaron Clark from Newcastle, England, has had some luck when betting in the past having scooped £1,000 a couple of times.
Earlier this month though Aaron hit the jackpot landing a whopping bumper payout of £33,700 on a match accumulator all thanks to a free bet.
When creating an account with bet365, Aaron was given their new customer offer which sees them offering a free bet matching up to £100 upon your initial deposit.
Previously placing £100 worth of bets without cashing out on odds of 1/5 or over, Aaron qualified for a £100 free bet and so decided to whack it on an accumulator.
Cashing out for £1,200 on his initial bet, Aaron put all the money back in on some UEFA Champions League games cashing out at the end for £33,700.
As Aaron told UNILAD, it wasn’t ‘bad for a day’s work’.
He explained how exactly he ended up winning the sum:
I was quite confident about it and my cash out was upwards of three grand but Madrid were losing so it dropped rapidly. They pulled one back so I chose to cash out for £1,200.
After that I thought I’d be a bit daft since you know, I don’t have a mortgage and bills and stuff to pay for so I wasn’t exactly desperate for the £1,200.
I knew the Champions League group games would be easy money and the top teams like Juventus all had really good prices so I had a moment of madness and threw my free winnings back on.
He added:
By Wednesday night my cash out was £19,000 thanks to some lucky late stage freak goals from Pulisic and Juventus managing a win despite Ronaldo’s red in the first half.
I then got in from work on Thursday and I was waiting on Chelsea. They scored in the seventh minute or something and I cashed out in the 80th for £33,700.
When Chelsea scored Aaron’s mate ‘went absolutely ballistic jumping around screaming’ but for the punter himself, it didn’t fully hit him how much he had won until it was in his bank account.
Naturally Aaron was straight out celebrating once he had calmed down dealing with all the ‘drinks on you’ messages he was receiving.
Although Aaron doesn’t know what to spend the money on right now, he admitted he won’t be ‘throwing it all on another six team accumulator for sure’.
In fact, he doesn’t know when he will next make another bet:
I don’t earn anywhere near enough to lose that sort of money, that’s about two and a half years wages for me.
If anything it’s made me not interested as much anymore, as silly as it sounds, it’s as if I’ve peaked.
I understand the level of luck I’ve had with this bet and I know that most likely I will never win this kind of money for as long as I live, so it sort of feels like I’ve completed it, so it’s more like I can now walk away a winner.
Now that’s some good thinking Aaron!
