School CCTV Camera Captures Terrifying ‘Ghost’ In Hallway

A secondary school in Cork, Ireland, has reportedly received an uninvited guest from beyond the grave – just in time for Halloween.

Founded way back in 1828, Deerpark CBS is the oldest school in southside Cork – generations of children have grown up in these classrooms and it stands to reason some may remain after death.

Staff have been left thoroughly spooked after CCTV footage captured an inexplicable and spine tingling incident, which took place in a seemingly deserted corridor.

In a scene straight out of Paranormal Activity, eerie flashes of light can be seen, following a thunderous bang.

The light appears to flickering from behind a closed door, although it’s source is not clear.

Events start to escalate rapidly when a heavy set of lockers begins rocking back and forth violently – a single locker door swings open forcefully, spewing books and papers all across the floor.

The footage ends with a wet floor sign being knocked over aggressively, as if it’s been kicked.

Could this be the spirit of a mischievous pupil, wanting to cause teachers further irritation from the afterlife?

To make matters stranger, the footage was taken just after 3am on Sunday 1 October – there would’ve been nobody at the school at this time.

Headteacher Aaron Wolfe, who admitted to being ‘puzzled’ by the incident told UNILAD:

If it’s a prank we don’t know how it was done?

Motion sensors were set off at this time, that’s how it was caught.

Aaron explained how a strange chill had been noted in this this part of the building prior to the incident:

The female members of staff do complain that this particular part is extremely cold. It’s also outside the Religion Room – which is weird.

The head discussed how this isn’t the first time unexplained happenings have been reported at Deerpark CBS:

Our caretaker has worked in the school for over 30 years he recalls many stories of ‘paranormal activity’.

For example on one occasion the school was hosting an exotic bird show, and the birds arrived the day before, because the organisers were worried that someone might break in and steal the birds, someone had to stay overnight.

That person left the school in the middle of the night – they refused to stay any longer as they said that they heard ‘the last call’ being played on a trumpet – of course this could have just been the wind?!

He added:

The school is a spooky place, especially at night, it’s an old fashioned building (Christian Brothers design).

One student George Long (17) was convinced last year he heard someone crying in one of the toilet cubicles. He thought it might be a first year so called the Deputy Principal – there was no one there – maybe moaning Myrtle???

Also, someone of our Facebook page reports that the lights in the building go on and off at night.

Since the strange incident, the staff have received numerous phone calls from people claiming the school is haunted by the ghosts of deceased pupils from the past.

According to Aaron, some living pupils have felt too terrified to come into school:

A couple of boys said they wouldn’t come in until the paranormal activity has been sorted – they were told if they didn’t come in they’d get detention – they came to school!
