The vegan diet can be misunderstood at times but this restaurant in Spain took it to a whole new level.
When Gabbie Jarvis, a fashion blogger, and her sister Georgina, went out for dinner with their family while they were on holiday in Fuengirola near Malaga, they were fairly optimistic when a member of staff said they catered for vegans.
Georgina, who has been vegan for three years, found a pizza on the menu but it wasn’t to be…
out for tea and the restaurant claimed they catered for vegans, this was my sisters amazing vegan meal ??? pic.twitter.com/5jBiSAiSYG

Gabbie told UNILAD her sister usually has a good selection of foods to choose when out in restaurants in the UK.
Adding:
A member of staff came out to greet us and my dad asked if they catered for vegans and the man claimed they did.
Georgina originally ordered a vegetarian pizza with no cheese but serving staff came out and told us shortly after that it had egg in it and she should look at the salads.
When it arrived, me and Georgina shared awkward eye contact and I couldn’t help but laugh and took out my phone to photograph the moment. Georgina is used to eating raw vegetables and she was hungry so she ate it all but asked for a bread roll to accompany it – no butter!
I mean, they’d clearly tried to jazz it up a bit, and technically it is vegan, but essentially, it’s just a crap salad.
Georgina, who’s 19, told UNILAD:
The food was disappointing compared to the options there are in England but I was very happy they accommodated me.
Veganism, in my opinion, is the most sensible option for the well-being of animals, for the environment and for your health. Veganism has made me into a more compassionate person, and I urge people to consider even cutting down on meat, maybe making a vegetarian meal a couple of times per week.
The tweet posted may make veganism look like an extremity and inaccessible, but in reality I normally have no issues eating out in restaurants, and normally have many options!

Still, can’t argue it wasn’t vegan, I guess.
