UNILADSince the advent of London’s sprawling night-tube, drunken passengers on train platforms have been a considerable concern.
The following video shows a distressing scene that the capital’s tube users found themselves watching when two drunk guys hurled each other in front of a train at around 1am on Sunday April 1.
The pair, described as extremely drunk, were ‘play-fighting’ on the Green Park platform on the Victoria line when they fell into the path of an oncoming train, before being luckily rescued by other passengers.

Autumn, a cheerleading coach who filmed the incident, told UNILAD:
They were really drunk and they were making so much noise. I was voice noting my friend and she couldn’t hear what I was saying because they were so loud and making so much noise.
They were just screaming, singing really loudly, walking up and down the platform really close to the edge.
My friend told me to Snapchat her a video of them, so I did and then the train started coming. They were play fighting and scaring each other by pushing near the edge, but they were so drunk. They lost balance and fell in, and then they got saved.
My friend thought one of them got stuck in and died because that’s what it looks like in the video. Three guys pulled them out and just the guy’s hoodie fell down and got hit by the train.
After they were pulled out they were holding onto each other the whole time. When they came out they were just holding onto each other, I guess they thought they were going to die.
UNILADAutumn explained how the drunk men tried to get on the train again after the incident ‘as if it was all normal’, but the train didn’t move off and waited for 15 minutes.
Eventually the police arrived, took the men away, and the entire Victoria line towards King’s Cross was closed.
UNILADAutumn explained this wasn’t her only horrific encounter with the city’s drunks on the underground that evening:
I almost cried because I thought they were going to die too. My heart was beating really fast and when I got on the train, I was really hot and flustered.
I feel like it must happen a lot on the night tube because most people are drunk. Most of the time, people are going to be coming from a night out and be really drunk.
On the train before this incident, I got the Jubilee line and a guy was laying in a pool of purple vomit. People were telling him to get up, but he was leaning back on the double doors to the train, and he almost got smashed by the doors but someone pulled him in.
Everyone on that platform was drunk except me and my friend because we’d just come back from a competition.
UNILADAs the train pulls in, you can hear its breaks squealing and the horn being held down following the very near miss.
We’re glad no one was hurt, but that was a terrifyingly close shave.
