A Welsh woman has transformed her back garden into every England fan’s dream space to watch today’s match.

England are set to take on Croatia this evening (July 11) in the semi-final rounds of the 2018 World Cup, kick off 19:00 BST.

The nation will be watching in the hope Gareth Southgate’s team can continue to defy expectations and reach the final in Russia, dare we say, getting that bit closer to bringing football home.

38-year-old Mandy Reeves knows how important the match is to her boyfriend 43-year-old Darren Ford, and the rest of the nation, and so she transformed her garden ready for the game.

Setting up a flat-screen TV and viewing area in the back garden, adorning the fences with England flags and bunting, the set-up is enough to rival most pubs.

And the final touch, of course, a fridge full of beer!

An Everton supporter herself, Mandy exclusively told UNILAD she decided to decorate the garden previously. For the 2014 World Cup Darren painted the England flag using the lawn as his canvas.

Mandy said:

When I saw what Daz did last time I thought he was mad. But grass grows so I wasn’t too mad at him.

I had no idea what he had planned. I seen it once I finished work when he asked if I wanted to sit in the garden.

So this year I got Daz’s towel and Birmingham City flag to put up. I bought some bunting from Home Bargains.

I then decided to put the TV and sound bar outside and used a camping canopy to shade the TV from the sun as it was a hot day. I also filled the fridge with beers ready for him to come home from work.

I am a massive football fan. I have been supporting England and want them to do well as it’s the team my partner supports.

Birmingham City supporter Darren loved the surprise and is very much looking forward to the match.

Speaking exclusively to UNILAD, he said:

I loved it. It was a fantastic surprise!

We are probably the only house in Wales with an England flag up outside. Our next door neighbour who is very Welsh thought it was funny and at the same time brave.

I have watched all the games so far, most of them in Majorca while on holiday. The World Cup is fantastic as it just brings all nations together.

I don’t think we will win it but we will not be far off. We will definitely make it to the final though!

Mandy has promised to keep the decorations up until England either get knocked out or win the tournament.

Although Darren is being tentative when it comes to England’s chances, we fully believe it is coming home!

With the final swiftly approaching on July 15, it won’t be long until we find out what England’s fate is.
