A woman’s dog has gone viral after she featured her in images used to sell some furniture online.
30-year-old Leanne Mahoy, from Wilmington, North Carolina, chose to sell some wicker furniture including a chair, desk and chest of drawers which was probably about 20 years old.
Having had it throughout her childhood, Leanne decided it was finally time to say goodbye and so she chose to post an advert online in an attempt to sell the items.
Thinking someone might ask how big the furniture is, Leanne decided, rather than use a traditional tape measure, she’d take photos with her dog Bella for scale.
As Leanne admitted exclusively to UNILAD, she also hoped her chiweenies cuteness would help sell the items, which of course, it did.
Leanne said:
She unexpectedly wandered into my life a little over six years ago – my roommate at the time had found her wandering along a busy street of a small town in Virginia, when she was just a pup.
She is one of the sweetest little girls you’ll ever meet and has the biggest personality. She absolutely had to appear in the adverts.
Within just a few hours I had several people messaging me about it with a few folks remarking just how cute Bella was.
I managed to sell it by the end of the first day I posted about it, for more money than I originally thought I would get!
Whenever I’m scrolling through some sort of online marketplace, no matter what it is, I always appreciate the people who try and do something different so why not use a doggo for scale.
I’m not surprised the items sold quickly as the photos with Bella are too adorable!
Always sending pictures to her best friend Sara of the ridiculous things she does, Leanne said she had to send over the photos of Bella and the furniture.
What Leanne didn’t expect was for them to go viral when Sara shared them on her Twitter page.
At time of writing (July 5) the tweet has received over 25,000 likes and 5,000 retweets:

Leanne told UNILAD she couldn’t believe how much attention it received, saying:
I was anything but calm, cool and collected when it started to go viral. Sara actually had to mute the twitter conversation because she thought her phone was going to blow up from the notifications.
Never in a million years did I think it would reach this level of viral.
Sara and I have joked we’ve been training our whole lives for this, between her hilarious tweeting abilities and my cute dog (not to mention spending way too much time on the internet).
Well Bella seems to be a dog worthy of celebrity status!
