There are few pleasures in life more comforting than receiving a nice Christmas card from a good friend, letting you know they are thinking of you at the most magical time of the year.

However, the sentiment is arguably even sweeter when there’s a little tipple involved to warm the cockles on those long snowbound evenings.

Last December, we all became acquainted with the delights of gin baubles, and this year brings yet more gin-teresting twists on beloved Yuletide traditions.

This festive season, Scottish gin distillers Daffy’s are releasing a card full of Christmas cheer, with a little bottle of their very own gin tucked inside. How this has not already been a thing for the last 2,000 years I do not know…

As of October 22 onwards, you can arrange to send one of Daffy’s special, boozy cards to your gin swilling best mate. It’s unlikely this one will end up in the recycling bin any time soon.

Daffy’s, whose distillery in located deep in the Scottish Highlands, have given the following information on their website:

The weather outside may be frightful, but the gin inside is delightful! The Daffy’s Gin Christmas Card is the ultimate card and gift to give this Christmas. Nestled inside the card is a 5cl miniature and a festive message.

Daffy’s can either post directly to the sender or to the lucky recipient of the card. If you want to add a personalised, handwritten message, you should mention this either this into the notes section at checkout or else email Daffy’s with your details.

You can purchase Daffy’s Gin Christmas cards either online at daffysgin.com or from luxurious department store Harvey Nichols. You can get individual cards for £7.49 a pop, with packs of six costing £44.94.
