If you haven’t seen Game of Thrones season 8 episode 6 then you should probably look away now because there’s some serious spoilers coming up.

Despite what many of us originally believed, the Starks have ended up doing fairly well in the battle for the Iron Throne. Despite a few issues along the way (think back to Ned’s execution, the Red Wedding and the Battle of the Bastards), they’ve weathered well, considering we’ve seen entire families taken out in one fell swoop in the past.

In fact, all of the above makes it even more impressive that Sansa, Bran, Jon Snow and Arya have all survived the bloodbath that has been season 8.

Now, we know the fate of three of those but Arya’s future remains an open book and therefore anything could happen. She could do with a little bit of a break considering everything she’s gone through during the previous 8 series, although it’s unlikely she’ll ever return home after her journey through Westeros.

But while Arya’s future is unknown, it now appears she could’ve hinted at what the show had in store for her back in season 2, in the House of the Undying.

Back in season 6, episode 8, Arya is given the job of assassinating Lady Crane, an actress who plays Cersei Lannister in a play called The Bloody Hand. But Arya finds herself sympathetic to the woman and fails to go through with the murder.

After Arya finds herself stabbed in the gut in The Waif, Lady Crane asks Arya to join the troupe and travel with them to Pentos. Arya decided against it, but asked, ‘What’s west of Westeros?’

When Lady Crane says she doesn’t know, Arya replies, ‘Nobody does, that’s where all the maps stop.’ The edge of the world, as Lady Crane puts it. ‘I’d like to see that,’ Arya said with a smirk on her face. With the war finally over, and her family members safe, now could possibly the chance.

I think we can all agree Arya pretty much became the undisputed hero when she killed the Night King, despite not crossing Cersei of her list.

Arya is without a doubt one of the show’s most likable characters, and after years of running and killing, it’s time for her to get out of Westeros and see the world a bit. Who knows what could be out there for her?
