Avengers: Endgame Café Is Open And Looks Cool AF

It was only a matter of time until somebody came up with the idea for an Avengers: Endgame cafe, and I’m so very glad they did.

The Hot Toys – also known as Toysapiens – flagship Store in Tokyo, Japan, have opened up a pop-up Avengers: Endgame café to commemorate the record breaking superhero movie. And it looks like everything you would hope it would be.

You can enjoy themed food and drinks – with green burgers for Hulk fans! – while surrounded by a range of cool collectors’ items. The smoothies are named after infinity stones, and the cookies bear the Avengers’ symbol.

The UNILAD offices are based in Manchester which – while a lovely city full of countless Marvel fans – is rather a way away from Tokyo.

Luckily, I was able to chat with Pien Krings, a Dutch design student who came across the commemorative café during a trip to Japan.

Pien was kind enough to share her thoughts on the pop-up, telling UNILAD more about the distinct and detailed decor:

When walking to the lift you had this huge statue of the hulk. The statue was so big you could walk under his arms and get quite close to it as well. Behind him was Spiderman in his iron spider suit.

They were both standing next to the small collector figures which you could buy. Extremely detailed and really nice to have. The left wall was a display with the costumes from the movies. They had Stormbreaker and captain’s shield as well.

It was quite nice to see this since a lot of the costumes are CGI when they are filming but they still use such detailed costumes. It also shows how impressive it is to create a CGI version with the same details.

When Pien entered the café itself, there was information on a board, both about the food available and the movie. There was also a ‘cosbaby display’ depicting the characters themselves.

Pien – who went to see Endgame no less than three times in the space of two weeks – continued:

I chose the iron man burger and they told me I could look around till my meal was finished. The employers were really kind and their English was quite good, which is still surprising in Tokyo Japan. The walls were covered in Avengers: Endgame posters in the entrance parts.

If you went to the left there were two walls covered in collector statues. The top shelf filled completely with Iron Man and going lower with the other characters. Every character was put together with others around the same movie, so the Guardians of the Galaxy together, the first Avengers, the first body of Ultron and it ended with Stan Lee.

The middle part of the restaurant was filled with six displays with Iron Man statues each edited by a different person. It seemed like they were different artists..

Striking decor aside, the food sounds pretty damn good, with a range of burgers, salads and curries available.

Pien gave UNILAD the following recommendation:

I got the Iron Man burger which was really good and I totally recommend to try if you can. I didn’t know a burger could be this juicy.

The café will stay open until June 16, with its duration extended to to its popularity. Definitely a must see if you are in Tokyo this summer.

English businesses take note. This is how you celebrate a fandom who have been passionate and dedicated until the very end.
