Avengers: Endgame Spoiler Ban Is Officially Over This Monday Warn Directors

Right gang, I’m officially giving you a three day warning to get out and watch Avengers: Endgame before spoilers start flowing here, there and everywhere.

To be honest with you, if you haven’t watched it by now I’m outing you as a fake Marvel fan anyway. It’s been out for more than a week, what have you possibly been doing in that time?!

Although if you haven’t watched it yet and have somehow managed to avoid spoilers up until now, hats off to you. That’s some achievement.

My advice though? Get to the cinema this weekend and watch it, or else you’ll definitely have Endgame ruined for you at some point in the near future (Monday, to be precise).

That’s because the film’s directors, the acclaimed Russo Brothers, have confirmed the ‘spoiler ban’ will be lifted on Monday (May 6), once the film has been in cinemas for two weekends.

Appearing on Good Morning America to talk all things Endgame, the directors were asked when it’s acceptable for people to start talking about spoilers openly.

Joe Russo said:

I think there has to be at a certain point because part of why we make these movies is for conversation… I think it’s Monday. Give it two weekends because not everybody can get there the first weekend.

But I think if you haven’t seen it yet you should get out there and see it because I think by Monday people are going to be talking about it.

Which, you know, is completely fair. Especially because the film is so loved by pretty much everyone, it’s going to be difficult for people to hold in their excitement for much longer.

The Russo Brothers took their interview one step further shortly after appearing on the show, taking to social media to share the clip and confirm that Monday is officially the day the spoiler ban will lift.

The directors wrote:

If you haven’t seen Endgame yet, see it this weekend. The spoiler ban lifts on Monday!

Marvel launched a major #DontSpoilTheEndgame campaign shortly before the film was released, urging fans not to ruin Endgame for those who hadn’t yet seen it.

The film’s directors repeatedly asked fans not to ‘spoil the Endgame,’ even posting a heartfelt letter to social media to ask them to respect the journey.

The Russo brothers also shared a video of some of the main cast members spreading the message, with the added warning that they’re watching us.

As of Monday though, that advice will be redundant and it will be spoiler city. So go watch it ASAP if you haven’t already.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
