Ben from Friends is all grown up now, but it seems he used to have a bit of an embarrassing crush on one of his co-stars.
Cole Sprouse, who was Ross’s son Ben in the hit sitcom series, made an embarrassing revelation he used to be obsessed with someone on set and there’s probably no prizes for guessing who it is.
Yes that’s right, Jennifer Aniston, practically everyone’s childhood crush, although it must have been a little awkward for young Cole who played Ben from the tender age of eight.
I suppose what made it even more excruciating for the child actor, who is now 24, was Jen was playing an on-screen, ‘step-mum’ of sorts which must have made matters all the more confusing.
He told the New York Post:
I had a really, really hard time working with Aniston because I was so in love with her.
I was infatuated.
I was speechless — I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank. It was so difficult.
Bless, but it’s completely understandable, Jennifer Aniston was and still is the ultimate crush, so he can’t exactly be blamed for getting a little tongue tied.
Cole played the character of Ben from 2000-2002, but it doesn’t seem like he’s in contact with the rest of the gang.
He told the New York Post:
If I saw any of them, I’d say, ‘Hello.’ But it’s been a while and I certainly don’t look the same, so it’d be a hard sell. And if I did look the same, that’d be a little disconcerting.
Well yes, that would be pretty weird.
The life-long batchelorette may finally be taken, but I wonder what her thoughts would be on Cole’s confession of his undying love.
