Boy Hijacks Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Performance To Sing Imperial March

Have you ever loved a song/film/anything so much you’ve interrupted an entire school performance of something entirely different to put your own spin on it?

One little boy certainly has, and went viral recently for hijacking a performance of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – only to turn it into his own rendition of the Imperial March from Star Wars.

The hilarious moment was shared on social media by a relative of the Star Wars fan, who appeared in a world of his own when he was getting his five seconds of (adorable) fame.

Just look at him, he literally has no care in the world other than singing his favourite song – and what a song it is. To be honest, I wish I had that kind of confidence in my own abilities.

Erin Gibson shared the iconic video of her cousin’s son, who can be seen whacking the girl to his right (don’t worry, it turned out to be his older sister) in a bid to grab the mic for his own unique twist on the nursery rhyme.

Making the entire thing that bit more hilarious, the two children standing either side of him clearly have no idea what to do or where to look, watching the little lad with a look of pure confusion on their faces.

The clip quickly went viral, so far being viewed more than 8 million times and retweeted nearly 140K times in the space of just three days. Which isn’t too shabby for a day’s work.

The video has even attracted the attention of Luke Skywalker himself. Well, Mark Hamill, but that’s as close as you’re ever going to get.

Sharing the video, Hamill wrote:

The Dark Side is strong in him! [laughing emoji] #AnotherRoyaltyForJohnWilliams

Obviously, people loved his performance, with Star Wars fans calling him a ‘little Darth Vader in action.’ Another person added, ‘The Dark Side has never looked so cute’. And to be quite honest, I couldn’t agree more.

The little boy ended his performance confidently, moving away from the microphone and looking towards his audience as though to say, ‘you’re welcome’.

And boy were they welcome, with the entire audience applauding him and clapping him – presumably for giving them something 10x more entertaining than Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Iconic. 10/10 for effort.
