We had a fresh taste of Dr Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and the brief injection of his likeable snark had us rattling our enclosures for more.
Bryce Dallas Howard has now dropped a tantalizing goat before us regarding the next instalment in the Jurassic World universe, with a hint about as subtle as an Indominus rex.
During an interview, Howard – who plays legendary high-heeled runner Claire Dearing – appears to have teased the reappearance of OG Jurassic Park characters Dr Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), Dr Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and Dr Alan Grant (Sam Neil).
Speaking with MTV News about whether she would be excited to share a screen with the original cast, Howard said:
Yes, very much so. If that happens, I don’t know.
I don’t know what’s been confirmed or whatever, but I’ll blink if it’s happening and maybe…
You can watch the interview for yourself below:
Now, we haven’t seen Ellie or Alan since Jurassic Park 3, when Ellie sent the US Navy to rescue Alan, Billy and that pesky Kirby family from Isla Sorna in the nick of time.
As a busy new mum, we sadly didn’t get to see much of Ellie’s Triceratops poop sifting skills. However,
sometimes it takes the dawn of a Neo-Jurassic Age to get you back in the office and away from endless re-runs of Barney.
No doubt Alan – after having been chased around two separate islands by dinosaurs – will be sick to the back teeth of outwitting velociraptors and dealing with unscrupulous idiots.
But with the human species at stake, she could be the one to help especially if there’s funding on the table.
Jurassic World 3 is expected to stomp into cinemas as of June 11, 2021.
