Among the black hole of talent that is the I’m A Celebrity jungle camp this year, Carol Vorderman has emerged as a source of surprising entertainment.
In the depths of the jungle, where dreams of A-lister fame go to die, the 55-year-old ex-Countdown mathematician revealed what she looks for in a partner to her camp mates, who were all adequately aghast for the cameras.
According to The Sun, Vorderman, who split from her husband in 2000, is simply after a good time, apparently.
When her fellow jungle residents asked if she liked to be ‘wined and dined’ by suitors, Carol replied:
I like to be wined and, erm…
The footage, shown on ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp, tickled hosts Vicky Pattinson and Stacey Solomon.
Solomon dubbed Carol ‘a minx’ and Pattinson – literally putting words into Carol’s mouth – filled in the gaps that the mathematician coyly left out to protect her privacy (which she sold, along with her soul, when she signed ITV’s reality TV contract, to be fair).
Pattinson, killing subtlety once and for all, said:
On a date she likes boozing and banging – that’s what the blank was.
Thanks for clearing that up Vicky, and permanently etching the thought of Carol Vorderman – national mathematics treasure – engaging in intimate relations into our mind’s eye.
Meanwhile, these dating revelations come after a flirtatious – if a little cringe-worthy – relationship emerges between Carol and 31-year-old Joel Dommett.
Carol has been dubbed a ‘cougar’ by some backward-thinking, unsavoury media publications.
Ignore them, Carol, you go get your’s.
