For anyone brave enough to watch Raw, cinemas showing the gruesome movie have been so kind as to provide sick bags to their paying customers.
The cannibalistic coming-of-age film has definitely proved too much for some, as the sickening plot line tests the limits of cinematic gore.
You can watch the UK trailer – which isn’t even the half of it – for Raw below:
A number of people reportedly passed out at the French-Belgian film’s screening during the Toronto Film Festival and, according to The Hook, viewers have been throwing up in their droves in American theatres.
This has spurred an LA cinema to pass out ‘barf bags’ – sick bags, for those of us on British shores – to anyone watching Raw‘s young star, Garance Marillier, who plays Justine, horrifyingly eat her way through puberty.
The film, written and directed by Julia Ducournau, has already polarised audiences with its grotesque content, while other critics have dubbed it ‘visceral’, ‘intelligent’ and ‘masterful’.
So, go and see it if you dare. Just avoid eating steak in the surrounding hours.
Raw is due to be released in the UK on April 7 this year.
