ITVIf you watched last night’s I’m A Celeb, you’ll have noticed that the usual calm was disrupted when a certain celebrity entered the jungle.
Noel Edmonds made quite the entrance when he breezed through the camp’s first group trial, calling out orders to the other celebs having been bestowed the role of ‘Emperor’.
Naturally, this was always going to upset the balance of the group and we soon saw the results of this when John Barrowman clashed with the ‘Mr Saturday Night’.
And now it appears Noel has upset yet another celeb in less than 24 hours.
In scenes that didn’t make the cut, Rita Simons was apparently less than happy with the ‘Emperor’ within hours of his arrival.
As reported by Entertainment Daily, host Dec revealed that cracks were starting to appear on the spin-off show, Extra Camp.
He revealed:
John has already started to crack, and Nick [Knowles] is biting his lip. Rita wasn’t happy yesterday down at the trial.
It wasn’t in the show tonight but when we were filming the trial, Rita had a go didn’t she?
I’m sorry, why aren’t we getting shown these juicy deets? I only tune in religiously every night in the hope that I get to see some drama.
Just to recap, as soon as Noel entered the camp he was told he had to appoint one other celebrity to be his advisor. Once he had chosen Harry Redknapp, they then had to allocate roles to the other celebs.
It was at this point things got a little heated, as John stood up to ask a question but got knocked back by a snarky remark from Noel. As he rose to his feet, the ‘Emperor’ told John not to scratch his groin when speaking to him.
Angrily, John replied:
I am not scratching my groin, I am scratching my waist.
ITVAnd it seems as though Noel really got to John, as he later went to The Bush Telegraph to talk about what happened.
He told the public:
I know he was trying to make a joke and be funny but it didn’t land well with me and for that moment I’m probably being overly sensitive and it’s at this exact time that my husband would say I need a sandwich.
It’s not his fault and I’m an adult, I know that, it was just that moment and some of us are feeling ‘arhhh’.
To be honest, I’d probably be exactly the same after a diet of rice and beans for a week. Being hangry is not ideal.
So what happened to make Rita angry? Well, according to Dec, the 41-year-old got mad when Noel and Harry weren’t listening to her during the task – wish was clear even on the aired footage.
Again talking on Extra Camp, the presenter said:
Noel and Harry were kind of talking amongst themselves, and she went ‘weren’t you two listening?!’ And we were like ‘woaah.’
I’m telling you, give them all some chicken and chips and they’ll be sorted in no time! Maybe not though, because where’s the fun in that?
I can’t wait to see what else Noel has up his sleeve – I live for the drama.
