With American Horror Story set to grace our screens again, the trailers and adverts are absolutely terrifying people.
The new series entitled ‘Cult’ premieres on September 5 and if the clips are anything to go by, we’re in for the most terrifying instalment yet!
Trypophobia seems to be an occurring theme – along with evil clowns – so be warned if you want to delve into this article any further…

Just to give you a clue as to what you’re going to see, trypophobia is defined on Wikipedia as:
A phobia, intense, irrational fear, or anxiety of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps.
Despite not being recognised by the American Psychiatric Association, the phobia was first pointed out on the internet back in 2005 and is believed to affect nearly 20 per cent of people.

Well it’s safe to say the recent adverts for American Horror Story seem to have made people panic.
Images such as a honeycomb brain, a honeycomb leg and a tongue with plenty of holes covering the surface have made a lot of you squeamish to say the least!
