Such is the nature of superhero films, eventually someone has to, not only for the story to be even slightly realistic, but to stop them from being boring and predicatble.

So who is it? Don’t ask me, ask screenwriter Stephen McFeely.

McFeely, along with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, have been having a bit of fun with the upcoming movie.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, McFeely said:

It’s safe to say we will say farewell to people.

Feige added:

The notion of an ending, the notion of a finale, became very intriguing to us, in large part because you don’t see it that often in this particular genre.

Disney has another 10 Marvel movies coming up in the future.

Avengers veteran Tom Hiddleston, who plays Thor’s brother, Loki, has been reflecting on his part in the Marvel movies, which may or may not have a deeper underlining… don’t @ me.

He told Comicbook:

That’s not a choice I’ve made, because what’s sort of accidental about Loki, is that when I joined the Marvel Universe, there was no Marvel Universe.

There was, but it was much smaller than it is now. I’ve been so grateful to be a part of it.

I think Marvel had only made the first Iron Man when I was cast as Loki and they were in the middle of making Iron Man 2 and now, The Guardians and Captain America and Black Panther and Spider-Man’s coming. I’m just lucky to be there.

He continued:

Every time I play Loki, the challenge is to find new ways of playing him. It is a source of constant surprise to me that I’m still here. I never expected that when I started playing him.

I feel a huge responsibility to deliver the character people know, even though it’s been four years since [Thor: The Dark World], and also to try to take him in new directions.
