Dwayne Johnson and Danny DeVito teamed up to crash a wedding and rock the karaoke – there’s something you don’t read everyday.
The Rock is prolific for his maverick use of social media, uploading his various gluttonous cheat days, sickening workout regimes and seamless promotion for his many, many projects – for millions of likes a pop.
However, his Instagram just got a whole lot better – and all it took was a little DeVito.
Check out the video of the unlikely pair below:
The duo will next be seen together in Jumanji: The Next Level, the sequel to the 2016 hit comedy.
While taking a break from interviews and press touring on Sunday, November 24, Dwayne and DeVito shared a tequila together while enjoying the sunset in Mexico – when they heard the rumblings of a party.
The megastar, former pro-wrestler captioned the video with:
I’ve never crashed a wedding, but with DeVito this was truly UNFORGETTABLE. We were sippin’ on a lil’ Teremana tequila enjoyin’ the quiet sunset together in Mexico after a long week of Jumanji work when this idea hit.
Crash the wedding. Grab a mic. Sing a special song. Say adios. It was actually quite beautiful and the love and mana in that room surrounding the wedding couple was so strong.
As newlyweds Kristine and Will celebrated their loving union, they probably weren’t expecting an appearance from the biggest star on the face of the planet… and The Rock.
The pair descended upon the festivities with a stunning rendition of Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable, before hugging and taking snaps with the happy couple.
Johnson added in the caption: ‘Congratulations to the lovey bride, Kristine and handsome groom, Will. And their four children, Ryan, Mason, Edie & Max. Beautiful family. The Abbots aka Brady Bunch.’
Johnson then asked DeVito for his best marriage advice for the newlyweds, to which he replied: ‘Big house, so he doesn’t have to bump into her.’
After tying the knot with his longtime partner Lauren Hashian in August this year, Johnson shared the words he lives by: ‘Yes honey, you are right.’
During an interview for the new Jumanji, DeVito was asked which of his previous works would he like to return to – as it turns out, he wanted to do Matilda 2.
He told ComicBook: ‘I always wanted to do Matilda 2, but when the kid was still a kid. But that was like 20 years ago, 25 years ago. Maybe Matilda has a kid and we can do something with that, I don’t know.’
Jumanji: The Next Level hits UK cinemas on December 11.
