Winter Is Here And Spoilers Lie Ahead
Emilia Clarke has unleashed an Drogon sized spoiler as to the fate of Daenerys Targaryen.
Game of Thrones fans are all too used to losing their favourite characters in a myriad of horrific ways. From weddings gone awry to skulls being crushed, it appears that no one in Westeros is ever safe from George R.R. Martin’s ruthless pen.
As the beloved show reaches its final two series, there has been much discussion regarding the longevity of the brave and beautiful mother of dragons. After all, staking a claim to the Iron Throne has so far proved to be a pretty perilous option.
With her fiery persona and turbulent story arc, the character of Daenerys has been a particular favourite with viewers, who have seen her go from being a timid girl sold by her own brother to become a powerful and formidable leader.
We have rooted for the would-be queen at every hurdle and to watch her perish after surviving so much would certainly be shocking, even for the, often quite literally, cut throat world of the Seven Kingdoms.

However, it appears that fans can sleep easy. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Emilia Clarke has apparently confirmed that Dany will survive the upcoming, and penultimate, season seven.
The Khaleesi herself has made the following comments to Rolling Stone journalist Alex Morris:
I have no doubt there’ll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else,’ she said. ‘But I am doing one more season. And then that’ll be it.
With just two seasons remaining, this would pretty much confirm that Daenerys will appear in the final run. Perhaps she could even survive to finally claim her much longed for crown.
Emilia Clarke also used the interview as a chance to tease viewers about the whereabouts of her character in the upcoming season.
The thirty-year-old actress made the following spoiler-heavy remark:
Spoiler alert – I normally don’t spend very much time in Belfast, but this last season I spent a little more time there.
Belfast is of course the location where most of the Westeros scenes are filmed. We haven’t yet seen Daenarys interact with many of our favourite characters so this could lead to some very interesting new connections.
Last time we saw the striking ‘Breaker Of Chains’, she was indeed setting sail to Westeros, flanked by her armies, companions as well as her loyal dragons.
Could this be the season where she finally meets with Jon Snow? Will she take on the malevolent queen Cersei? So many questions!
As any dedicated ‘thrones fan will know, this isn’t a series that plays by the rules and the actors love nothing more than to throw us off the scent.
Whatever the series has in store for Daenerys, if there is one thing we do know now the show is off book, it is that we know nothing.
