Emma Watson has given a scathing response to critics who slammed her topless Vanity Fair shoot on Sunday morning.

Critics slated the Beauty and the Beast actress for posing without a bra on under a jacket for a magazine shoot, saying it undermines her feminist values.

The Harry Potter actress was accused last week of being ‘hypocritical’ while presenting herself as a feminist and is not happy about it at all.

TalkRADIO presenter, Julia Hartley-Brewer shared a condescending tweet against the actress, ridiculing Emma’s NSFW photoshoot.

She wrote:

Emma Watson: ‘Feminism, feminism… gender wage gap… why oh why am I not taken seriously… feminism… oh, and here are my t–s!’

Emma was clearly outraged by the broadcaster’s opinion and was forced to speak out about it an interview with the BBC.

She explained:

Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality.

I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it. It’s very confusing.

Many people ran to Emma Watson‘s side, offering their support on Twitter for the star, saying what she wears does not alter her feminist stance in anyway.

Others argued the shoot was essentially the same as the Sun‘s Page 3 which readily objectified women and this was no different, which must’ve been awkward for the actress…

Emma however, remains adamant her boobs and her decision to pose topless have nothing to do with any of her opinions and political views as a woman and feminist.

As we’re well into 2017 now, surely she can wear whatever the hell she likes and think whatever she wants?

Madness…Good on her for speaking out though.

Although I think it’s fair to say there are more pressing issues than the state of Emma Watson’s breasts…
