Another day, another death in this crazy Game of Thrones. Only this time, not one tear was shed because Littlefinger had it coming.

In the season finale, The Man with Tiny Digits received his just deserts at the hands of the Queens in the North, all because he underestimated sisterhood.

The eyes and ears of King’s Landing, also known to his very, very few friends as Petyr Baelish, has been a power player since season one of GoT, scheming in the shadows and manipulating the moves for the Iron Throne.

The absolute bastard had been using Sansa Stark as a pawn in his dastardly plan, and the newly Winter-hardened badass, with her sister Aria alongside, finally revealed Littlefinger’s fatal flaws for all to see in an epic double-cross scene, which proved the apprentice has now became the master after putting him six feet under.

Spoiler: Turns out he’s been up to no good.

Not only did Littlefinger conspire with Lysa to kill Jon Arryn, previous Lord of the Vale, by giving Lysa poison, which she used to murder Jon, he then went and killed Lysa by pushing her through the Moon Door of the Eyerie to seize control of the Vale.

To stir things up a little more, as if murder wasn’t enough, Littlefinger had Lysa tell Ned and Catelyn Stark that the Lannisters poisoned Jon, leading to further animosity between the houses that later erupted into war.

Littlefinger betrayed Eddard Stark, causing him to be executed by King Joffery – poor Ned could never catch a break.

Baelish also told Catelyn that the catspaw Valyrian steel dagger used in the attempted assassination of Bran belonged to Tyrion, when in fact Baelish sent both the dagger and the assassin to do his dirty bidding.

So, in front of all the Northern lords and Knights of the Vale, Sansa tells Littlefinger:

That’s what you do. You turn family against family. Sister against sister. That’s what you did to my mother and my Aunt Lysa. And that’s what you tried to do to us.

Then Arya showed off her swift slicy skills sticking him through his serpent tongue-filled throat.

Needless to say, he won’t be up to his tricks anymore, now that his blood is congealing on the floor of the Great Hall of Winterfell.

Perhaps this is a sign of more moral comeuppance to come and a turning of the ethical axis in this Game of Thrones.

It’s what honour demands. Three cheers for the Noblewomen of the North!
