HBOOne more day to go – one more fan theory to squeeze in just in time to pour over until Game of Thrones season eight takes over your telly for the next six weeks.
A Game of Thrones fan theory suggests Dany’s love of dragons will force her to cut ties with those closest to her and once again abandon her quest to sit on the Iron Throne – possibly betraying Jon Snow to become the Night Queen.
You might remember, way back in season two, Dany foresaw this happening during an elaborate vision sequence at the House of the Undying in Qarth:

In a fan theory which must’ve been eating them alive all this time – and what a long time it took the Mother of Dragons to get back to Westeros – u/marisaann26 thinks it’s a sign.
They believe Daenerys will betray Jon Snow and switch sides in the last season. After all, two of the prophecies in the vision have already come to fruition.
On her march towards King’s Landing to sit upon the Iron Throne, Daenerys was drawn to the Wall to battle the Night King and his Army of the Dead whereupon the Night King killed Viserion.
In the vision, the dragons were crying beyond the Wall, just as they were as Viserion was killed.
… Right up until the Night King resurrected Viserion as the ultimate zombie dragon weapon. Presumably Viserion’s fate could befall Drogon and Rhaegal.
Considering the warning delivered to Khaleesi by Pyat Pree, the warlock from Qarth and member of the Thirteen, this could mean Dany will have to join #TeamDead.
Why, you ask?
Here’s what he told her:
You’ll be with your dragons through winter, summer, and winter again. For a thousand, thousand seasons you will be with them. Until time comes to an end.
So, if all the dragons die and are resurrected, given Dany’s history of abandoning all for her now-grown-up hatchlings, she won’t have much choice but to join the White Walkers as their Night Queen.
The Reddit fan theory concluded:
We know the white walkers were taking Craster’s sons and turning them into more White Walkers. What if the White Walkers can only change those of pure blood(incest)?
That would make Daenerys an important person to the Night King, considering her magic.
Also could be possible that the person has to be a sacrifice in order to be turned, meaning Dany will have to willingly give herself to the Night King as a sacrifice.
