Fans of Game of Thrones may be battling through the long cold winter of no Thrones on the telly, but the cast have now read the scripts and know what’s in store for them in season 7.
Sophie Turner, who plays the unfortunate Sansa Stark on the show, has been teasing her character’s fate now she’s had a sneaky peak at the upcoming season’s scripts.
While speaking to Variety, Sophie even teased Sansa’s potential demise at the hands of one of her character’s many enemies, and described how she’d like to leave the show.
She joked she wanted “a long, slow episode-lasting death, where it’s just one long scene of my death and no one else. And it’s going to be the last episode of the last season.”
Game of Thrones has never been shy about offing characters in grim and grisly ways (we’re still not over Ramsey having his face ripped off), so it’s not outside the realms of possibility that Sophie will get a whole episode to die.
She also teased Sansa’s future, admitting that she could run away with Littlefinger and become a villain or she may team up with her brother/cousin Jon.
Finally, Sophie confronted the elephant in the room – that Game of Thrones is coming to an end.
She said:
It’s really sad. It’s really uncomfortable to think about my life without Game Of Thrones. Not only has it been like a family – going to see a family every summer – but it’s also been a safety net. When I finish this I don’t actually know what’s going to happen.
I don’t think anyone does Sophie…
