Gogglebox stars Ellie and Izzi Warner made a hugely inappropriate joke at the expense of Dr Dao, the man who was forcibly dragged from a United Airlines flight this week.
The two Yorkshire sisters watched the horrifying footage and began laughing and joking about how it would make ‘an amazing Snapchat story’.
Viewers were outraged when they saw the two women making light of Dr Dao’s traumatising ordeal, and were shocked when the official Gogglebox twitter account tweeted it.
When they tell you no booze left on the flight #SnapchatStory #UnitedAirlines #Gogglebox

On the show, Izzi agreed it would go straight on her story too, before asking ‘what caption would you do?’.
Answering her own question, Izzi said: ‘When they tell you no booze left on the flight’.
This is disgusting! Cannot believe that that #channel4 would allow such a tweet #Gogglebox #shouldbeashamed

Dao suffered significant concussion, a broken nose and lost two front teeth when the three-men violently pulled him from his seat.
Not remotely funny. Channel 4 should not have aired that and the girls should have more respect. I have just switched off #Gogglebox

They were branded as being highly disrespectful.
#Gogglebox @ellieandizzi should be ashamed of themselves saying the united airlines incident would of 'made a great snapchat story' ?

The sisters and Channel 4 are yet to release a response to the backlash of fans.
Dao has hired lawyers and may file a lawsuit against the airline which could see him paid millions.
