You’d have to be living under a rock to have avoided any of the hype surrounding Avengers: Endgame. Let’s face it, it’s the most talked about film of the year.
And although the film’s directors – the acclaimed Russo brothers – have repeatedly asked fans not to spoil the Endgame, it appears some just can’t help themselves.
One man who did decide to spoil the highly anticipated film for others immediately regretted it though, as he was reportedly beaten up for doing so.
As reported by AsiaOne, local reports suggest a man in Hong Kong was attacked outside a screening of Avengers: Endgame when he started revealing spoilers about the film.
The incident reportedly took place outside a cinema in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, when the man allegedly shouted out spoilers just outside the cinema.
This led to fans of the franchise to attacking him, with people claiming they heard someone loudly revealing spoilers at the entrance.
A picture of the man in question has been circulating online, with some people questioning whether the event actually happened. However, people in attendance say they did hear the man ruining the film.
According to Taiwanese media, as per AsiaOne, cinemagoers were ‘fuming’ and decided to teach the unknown man a lesson.
Although some questioned the authenticity of the incident, many fans have claimed ‘he got his just desserts served’ or that they ‘felt good seeing this’.
The film’s directors have repeatedly asked fans not to ‘spoil the Endgame,’ even posting a heartfelt letter to social media to ask them to respect the journey.
This is, understandably, to protect fans from hearing the main plot points from anyone other than the Avengers themselves.
The Russo brothers also recently shared a video of some of the main cast members spreading the message, with the added warning that they’re watching us.

Some people clearly aren’t paying attention to the request though, and have taken it upon themselves to spoil it for others.
So yeah, don’t be an arsehole and spoil the Endgame.
You can now (finally) watch Avengers: Endgame in cinemas.
