The latest entry in the ever growing X-Men franchise, Logan, has finally been released to the joy of audiences and critics around the world.

For those who don’t know, the film sees Hugh Jackman pop his claws for the final time as the titular Logan, a broken and aged man who’s trying to outrun his tragic past and dismissing the idea that he may have a future.

Unfortunately for our grizzled anti-hero destiny comes a knocking when Professor X introduces him to Laura, a girl who shares a mysterious connection to Wolverine.

Of course being an X-Men movie there are more than a few Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the film for loyal fans who’ve sat through all ten of the mutant movie multiverse.

From call backs to the first X-Men movie in the franchise to more subtle references to classic westerns like 1953’s Shane you’d think that Jackman and director, James Mangold, were trying to arrange a church Easter egg hunt with all the fanboy references.

Even for the most impassioned pop-culture vulture working your way though all of them would be a mammoth task, thankfully the wonderful Mr Sunday Movies has done all the hard work so you don’t have to.

Did you spot any references that Mr Sunday didn’t? We doubt it, he’s pretty thorough but if you did please do let him know.

And as much as we adored Logan we’re with Mr Sunday on the Professor X regrowing his hair thing. It’ s a bit silly.
