It’s another day and another (dingo) dollar in the I’m a Celebrity camp as the celebrities enter the final week in the jungle – where has the time gone?
As the camp battle their way through gruelling tasks and fantasise about a well-deserved glass of prosecco at the other side of the bridge, fans of the show have other things on their minds.
That being the apparent ‘huge fix’ which eagle-eyed viewers spotted during last night’s (December 2) episode as one celebrity left the jungle for good.
Warning: spoilers ahead!
Three… two… one… Right, I’ve given you enough notice now; if you’re still reading then it’s all on you and I’m not culpable in any way.
So, rewind to approximately 10pm last night when the celebrities were sitting around the campfire waiting to be told who would be, quite literally, packing their bags.
All ten of the remaining celebs waited in anticipation as Dec and Holly addressed the camp, until eventually it came down to just Sair Khan and Malique Thompson-Dwyer in the bottom two.
As the presenters announced Malique was the second person to have to leave the jungle, viewers could only notice one thing about the young actor.
Not his reaction, but the fact the 20-year-old already had his rucksack on his back before being told that he had been voted out.
Suspicious right? And it seems avid watchers of the show agree, as they took to social media immediately after it was broadcast to express their concerns.
One person tweeted:
“Nobody’s got a clue who’s next to go”. Malique sitting there with this bag already on his shoulders ready to go when they came in. Fixed. #ImACeleb
While another wrote:
Why was Malique the only person to have his bag on before they announced he was leaving??? #imacelebrity2018 #imaceleb
And another said:
The I’m a celeb fix just telling u #ImACeleb u think we’re stupid. Malique had his bag, Noel had his bag whoever has their bag next will go
Despite this uproar, a spokesperson for the popular reality show told Standard Online that the rumours are just that – rumours.
They said:
This is categorically not true. All celebrities find out who is leaving the jungle when Holly and Dec announce this on the show.
It comes after fans also thought Noel Edmonds’ exit on Friday (November 30) was slightly suspicious, as he too had hold of his rucksack before his name was announced.
Regardless of how they came to exit the jungle, they now get to enjoy a week in a luxurious five star hotel with unlimited food and alcohol, so who’s the real winner here?
I know where I’d rather be – and let me tell you it wouldn’t be in a hammock in the middle of the jungle.
I’m a Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
