Channel 5Celebrity Big Brother took a more-dramatic-than-normal turn last night after Jamie O’Hara was suddenly evicted from the house in handcuffs.
The former footballer was up against Calum Best, Kim Woodburn, Nicola McLean and Jedward for eviction but was shown the door on Monday night’s episode.
Unaware one of the housemates was about to be evicted, the ‘celebrities’ were all brought in to the courtroom, where they were joined again by Vanessa Feltz.
Channel 5In truly cringe-worthy fashion, Jamie was asked to approach the dock before Vanessa said:
Officers handcuff this man. Ladies and gentleman of the court, Jamie has been found guilty as charged. Since Saturday evening, viewers have been voting to save.
The housemate with the fewest votes was Jamie. You must leave with the officers immediately, take him away.
With no live interview or reception, the 30-year-old was made to leave through the backdoor, depriving him of the big-headed fanfare of a proper eviction.
Channel 5The eviction came at a bad time for fellow housemate Bianca, who confessed her love for Jamie just the night before.
The model and strip club manager revealed her feelings in the diary room and was later told by O’Hara that he, too, could fall in love with her.
Ah, the 21st century version of star-crossed lovers.
