Star Wars Actor John Boyega has revealed he received some dating tips from Orlando Bloom which could affect his future relationships…

In case you’ve been living on another planet, John Boyega is the actor who was catapulted to the dizzying heights of fame in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in 2015.

He seems like a pretty sound guy who probably doesn’t need much dating advice, but then, no-one’s ever going to turn down tips from Hollywood pro Orlando Bloom are they?

The whole bizarre situation came about when the pair sat down on Graham Norton’s sofa and he revealed the Pirates of The Caribbean star had decided to give him a few words of wisdom, Evening Standard reports.

His main gem was that John should ‘secure the love of his life’ before gets to a ridiculous level of household name fame – we’re talking about the kind of person even your nan would name drop.

John said:

He told me to try and secure the love of my life before all the fame stuff starts.

Unfortunately for the 25-year-old, it seems he’d already tried to bag a girl before his Star Wars smasher, but this didn’t work out so well for him…

He explained on the Graham Norton Show how he was on a date in New York, when he saw pointed himself out on a Star Wars billboard with disastrous results…

He continued:

It was perfect. I went on a date in New York City and as we were driving through Time Square and she asked, ‘What do you do for a living?’

I just pointed up at the Star Wars billboard that showed me with a lightsaber and said, ‘That!’
That was the end of the relationship – the poster really affected her.

Definitely an awkward situation… And it seems his time is running out if he does actually want to make use of Orlando’s love tips…

John’s currently in a cold war play, Woyzeck, at the Old Vic London if you want to see if he’s following any of that advice…

And Orlando can next be seen in the next installment of Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in UK cinemas on May 26th.
