BBCAfter a long year of waiting, Killing Eve fans will be over the moon to know the second season is set to drop on BBC iPlayer in a matter of days.
The dramatic series was initially something of a slow burner for the BBC as it was first released on the iPlayer, where only those scrolling for on-demand content came across it.
But all of a sudden news of its brilliance seemed to spread far and wide, and the show went on to become the second-biggest boxset to air on the streaming service, racking up more than 40 million views.

The series stars Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, an MI5 security officer who’s drawn into a back and forth, cat-and-mouse game with ruthless assassin Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer.
Hopefully the second series will live up to the high expectations set by the first, but the BBC are obviously confident in the story as Killing Eve has already been renewed for season three!
American viewers were the first ones to find out what the characters got up to next as the second season starting airing in the US in April.
BBC AmericaThe wait will soon be over for fans in the UK because the BBC announced on Twitter that Killing Eve will be back on Saturday, June 8.
The entire second series will be available on the iPlayer, allowing fans to binge it all in one go, but if you prefer to savour the action over a few weeks you can tune into BBC One, where the second series will kick off with episode one at 9:15pm on Saturday night.
Fans of the first season will know season one ended on a cliffhanger, with Eve having just stabbed Villanelle as well as being fired from her secret MI6 investigation. There’s also still lots of questions to be answered about the organisation of assassins, known as the The Twelve.

According to NME, a synopsis of the second season revealed it will begin just after the end of the final episode of season one.
It reads:
Villanelle has disappeared, and Eve is left reeling, having no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead. With both of them in deep trouble, Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does… but unfortunately, she’s not the only person looking for her.
The new episodes can’t come soon enough!
Killing Eve will return to the BBC on June 8.
