Kit Harington Says He’s Had Enough Of Game Of Thrones

Kit Harington is ready for Game of Thrones to end – which is a bit rich considering fans have had to wait two years just for the final season to start.

The actor, perhaps better known as resurrected bastard with a penchant for accidental incest, Jon Snow, has been busy filming for the final series of GOT, and it seems to have taken a bit out of the lad.

Speaking to GQ he revealed the mood in the actors camp has been somewhat confusing.

Season eight won’t be your average season though. At the very least it should be far more cinematic.

With just six episodes there are a lot of loose ends to tie up – unless HBO and George R.R. Martin plan to ruin everything with an incredibly underwhelming cliff hanger ending – but every episode will benefit from an extended run time beyond 60 minutes.

Not to mention the promise of the biggest battle in TV history.

As a result the filming schedule was probably more intense, or that’s the message we’re getting from Kit, who says he and his castmates were left rather knackered by it all.

Harington told GQ:

The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us.

Everyone was broken at the end. I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring.

Maybe they were crying ‘cos the $500,000 per episode fees for lead characters are coming to an end? Who am I kidding, they’ll be earning from this chapter of their lives for years to come. Mmmmm royalties.

Harington continued:

We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, Right, I’m f*cking sick of this.

I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, ‘I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day – but I’m done.’

It sounds like the most awkward of break ups, ‘I love you, but I need to work on me and to do that we both need to move on.’ Well no Kit, I refuse to be mature about this. I’m only just coming around to the idea this is the final season, don’t push me to move faster than I’m ready.

The end is nigh though, and come April our final watch begins.
