Over the weekend, Lohan, who starred in films such as Freaky Friday and Scary Movie Five, deleted every image from her Instagram page and changed her bio to Alaikum salam.

Alaikum salam is an Arabic greeting of goodwill which means ‘and unto you peace’, reports the Mirror.

Back in 2015 rumours circulated suggesting that Lohan was considering a change to Islam when she was spotted holding a copy of the Quran in Brooklyn, however later she claimed the holy book was a gift from friends.

Appearing on a Turkish talk show at the time, the actress said:

My very close friends, who have been there for me a lot, in London are Saudi and they gave me the Quran and I brought it to New York because I was learning.

It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am.

They crucified me for it in America. They made me seem like Satan. I was a bad person for holding that Quran.

Lohan has not yet commented on the conversion rumours.
