Lads and lasses across the UK, rejoice, Love Island Australia is finally coming to our screens.
The Down Under version of the reality show will be aired on ITVBe from Monday August 13.
Love Island Australia is supposedly out of control in comparison to the UK version, and while a huge number of people dedicate their lives to the UK contestants each night, apparently the Aussie version is even better than ours.
Like Love Island UK, Love Island Australia film in Majorca. Unlike Love Island UK, the Australian cast are open to having a scrap in the villa if sh*t hits the fan.
The premise is the same, with the winning Islanders cashing in on a $50,000 prize in the final.
Footage from the show sees two of Love Island Australia’s contestants, Eden Dally and Grant Crapp, getting into a fight after they had to say goodbye to one of their fellow islanders.
Eden and his partner Erin chose to eliminate Justin Lacko, but their decision was labelled as ‘unforgiveable’ by some of the other contestants, Tayla and Millie. Eden got angry that the girls disagreed with their choice, which in turn angered Tayla’s partner Grant.
The tension became uncontrollable, and a fight broke out between Eden and Grant. Although slightly confusing for someone who has little context around the situation, the fight is still entertaining to watch, and definitely adds some excitement Love Island UK is missing.
Eden later admitted that the fight was a ‘stupid thing’ to have happened.
After months of grafting, plenty of mugging off and of course Georgia being ‘loyal’, this year’s UK Love Island came to a close tonight with Dani and Jack walking away with the £50,000 prize money and each other’s hearts as boyfriend and girlfriend, as well as everyone else’s.
Being coupled up from episode one, they had continually been the favourites to win beating Megan and Wes, Laura and Paul, and Josh and Kaz in last week’s live final.
Regardless millions of viewers still fell in love with winners Dani and Jack as they watched their romance blossom over the past two months.
Entering the villa following a string of failed romances including a cheating boyfriend, 22-year-old Dani stepped forward for cheeky pen salesman Jack who picked her over Samira.
Not only were Dani and Jack two of only four Islanders who had remained in the villa the entire series - 11 entered the show in the first episode back in June - but the pair were also the only couple to stay together throughout and didn’t join the Do Bits Society during their entire stay.
