While Love Island fans are still coming to terms with Elma and Joe’s shock departure and wondering whose bed Maura will try and jump into next, there’s about to be a huge shake up and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ridiculously excited about it.

The couples will face their biggest challenge yet as the boys are moved into second villa Casa Amor, where they will be joined with a host of new islanders.

Meanwhile, several new male islanders will make their way into the main villa to fight for the females’ affections in a bid to steal a place on the show.

The switch up could be good news for Maura Higgins and new singleton Lucie Dolan who could have their pick of the new boys.

Meanwhile, Love Island boss Angelia Jain hinted this year’s Casa Amor challenge would test the islanders during their journeys in the villa to ‘mirror real life.’

She told The Sun:

What we do in terms of format twists – as this is ongoing casting – we’re trying to mirror real life and relationships do get tested, that’s entirely normal.

So we will test them and the islanders are fully aware their relationships will get tested.

We will do that because that’s the expectation for the audience and the islanders.

Last year, producers tested Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer’s relationship by throwing Jack’s ex Ellie Jones into the mix. Could we see a similar shake up between the series’ longest running couple, Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard?

And let’s not forget when Georgia Steel was left humiliated as Josh Denzel walked back into the villa arm-in-arm with Kaz Crossley, who he went on to date for several months after the series ended. But, at least she stayed loyal, babe.

The islanders have already been shaken up once this week, thanks to the arrival of supermodel Arabella Chi, who’s chosen to go on dates with Danny Williams and Anton Danyluk.

Despite reassuring Yewande Biala his head couldn’t be turned, Arabella’s entrance should put that to the test, as scientist Yewande struggles to open up about her feelings.

Love Island continues on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
