Maisie Williams is going to be Sophie Turner’s bridesmaid at her wedding.
The Game Of Thrones star confirmed she was going to play a major role in co-worker Sophie’s big day.
Turner is engaged to marry Joe Jonas.
Williams revealed the news in an interview with the Radio Times.
When asked if she ‘already bidding for a role as bridesmaid’ she replied, ‘I already got it!’
She added:
It’s very, very exciting. It’s kind of bizarre though. We’re waiting until this season [of Game of Thrones] is done until we get into any [wedding planning]. But I think she’s already letting her little heart wander and imagine.
Turner recently opened up about the end of the smash HBO show which has served as a launching platform for many young actors.
She said of the final script-read, according to the Express:
It was very, very bittersweet. The first day of the actors coming in and that kind of production starting, the day where we had the final read through for the final script… it was really bittersweet. It was hard.
At the end of the very last script, they read aloud, ‘End of Game of Thrones.’ As soon as they read that out, pretty much everyone burst into tears.
She added:
It’s going to be tricky for [Sansa], because at the end of last season, she felt that she had everything set up. She had her family back together. They were in control of the North again.
This season, there’s a new threat, and all of a sudden she finds herself somewhat back in the deep end… This season is more a passionate fight for her than a political, manipulative kind of fight.
Turner and Jonas announced their engagement last October.
The pair we first rumoured to be dating when the two were spotted kissing at the 2016 MTV EMA awards in Rotterdam.
Joe’s brother Nick was one of the first to send his congratulations to the newly engaged couple.
Turner may not return to our TV screens ’til 2019, for the final season of Game Of Thrones, however she will be returning to her role as the iconic Jean Grey for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Despite their world-renowned fame the two are a notoriously low-key couple but the two seemed to be taking their relationship further when they adopted a puppy. Of course engagement is probably a bigger step in that relationship.
