The new streaming series is being overseen by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, while Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his iconic role.

An image has emerged from the Walt Disney Company Investor Day 2019 presentation back in April, showing Feige presenting his first look at the new series, which was kept a secret until now.

Ever since Loki was confirmed, there have been various different rumours over how it will take shape, more so as a result of certain events that took place in Avengers: Endgame and the news that these new Marvel Disney+ shows will directly affect the MCU.

The timeline of the series is a little bit hazy and no one really knows whether it will be the same Loki who ended up with the Space Stone, never to be seen again.

But, last month it was revealed there could be a separate timeline where Loki is never killed by Thanos.

In an interview with the LA Times, Russo was asked whether the character could have escaped death in the new timeline, to which he responded:

Loki could absolutely still be alive in an alternate timeline.

Confusing.

There’s every possibility the Disney+ series could feature the same Loki who absconded with the Tesseract into a new timeline.

Speaking to Variety, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained the spin-off TV series will be linked closely to the films, saying:

These episodes will intersect with the movies in a very big way. It’s a totally new form of storytelling that we get to play with and explore.

So, to summarise, details are pretty thin on the ground at the moment but as new details emerge, it would seem we’re edging closer and closer to finding out exactly what the streaming series will entail.

Loki is set to launch on Disney+ on November 12, 2019 so it’s only a matter of time.
