Legendary actor McConaughey, who helped make the first season so successful, has now revealed in a recent interview that he would be interested in coming back but on one crucial condition.

It seems the award-winning actor will only return to the show if the writing is up to his standards, according to the Independent.

He explained:

If that thing was written well and it came up again, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second.

Absolutely fair enough considering his world-renowned status for being such a huge talent, he surely doesn’t need the cash, so he has every right to pick and choose at what jobs he wants to take.

Obviously it’s not a definite, as Pizzolatto will have to pick up the old story of Rust Cohle and Marty Hart, which will be interesting, as the storyline seemed to have reached its end.
