Meghan Markle’s Ex Husband Has ‘Savage’ Plan After Engagement

Before Meghan Markle became romantically attached to one of the most eligible bachelors in the world, she was previously married.

The 36-year-old actress and humanitarian was wife to film and TV producer Trevor Engleson, who is best known for his work on Robert Pattinson‘s Remember Me.

The pair got married in 2011 after they started dating in 2004, though they were divorced by August 2013, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.

But now the producer has made headlines with ‘savage revenge’ against his ex-wife, in the form of a new show.

The show will controversially depict a divorced couple and the British Royal Family, according to Deadline.

The show is set to be a comedy, and is about a man who has to share duel custody of his child with the family after his ex-wife marries a prince.

Meghan and Trevor have no children, and it has been repeatedly claimed that the scenario for the show is not based on the couple.

It is however, based on real life events following a conversation Trever Engelson had with fellow producer Dan Farrah.

The two had spoken at length about what it would have been like if Meghan and Trevor had children, and how much the situation would have been different if custody of the kids had to be shared with the Royal Family.

Eventually they decided it was a great idea for a show and pitched it to a production company which was eventually bought by Fox, who are reportedly very interested in the project and are committed to a pilot episode.

The premise of the show reads:

Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid media, is next level.

People online have been quick to brand the move as ‘savage’, and have even called Engelson a ‘douchebag’.

Fox are apparently so interested in the show they have made their biggest commitment for a comedy pitch so far this season.

While we might have this new show to savour and enjoy in the coming months and years, we won’t be getting a public holiday to enjoy the real wedding, if emerging reports are to be believed.

A tweet from the Press Association confirmed that Downing Street were not making any plans to let the British people get leathered as they watch Prince Harry and Meghan tie the knot.

The statement reads:

There are ‘no plans’ for a bank holiday on the day of Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle, Downing Street says.

People aren’t happy with this announcement, with many saying they’ve lost all interest in anything going on with the wedding now.

One user commented in response to the announcement: ‘In that case none of us are remotely interested.’

Despite the bad news, fans are still enamoured with Meghan’s new engagement ring, which was designed by Prince Harry himself and contains a beautiful homage to his late mother Princess Diana.

The centre diamond hails from Botswana, which is close to the hearts of both Harry and Meghan, and the two outside stones come from Princess Diana’s personal collection.
