If you fancy watching a new Netflix series while simultaneously losing hours of sleep, I have just the thing for you.

Brand new show Chambers was released last week on the streaming platform and has been leaving viewers unable to sleep because of how terrifying it is.

The show follows Sasha, a survivor of heart transplant surgery, as she crosses paths with the parents of her donor, the Lefevres. It all sounds pretty standard, right? What could possibly be scary about a nice little show about a recipient’s recovery?

Ahem, wait until you see Chambers:

Throughout the 10 episodes, Sasha – played by Sivan Alyra Rose – is seen getting closer to the Lefevres – who are played by Uma Thurman and Ghost‘s Tony Goldwyn.

As she does though, she starts to realise her donor’s (Becky’s) death isn’t as it seems and starts unraveling the story surrounding what happened to her.

Netflix only serve to further the suspense, saying:

Haunted by eerie visions and sinister impulses after a heart transplant, a teenager tries to unmask the truth behind her donor’s mysterious death.

When Sasha starts experiencing harrowing visions and seeing things from Becky’s perspective, the seemingly innocent show about a recipient’s recovery quickly turns into a supernatural horror. And it looks terrifying.

Just one week in, the show has viewers hooked with many saying they’ve been left unable to sleep after binge-watching the series.

I mean, I don’t know about you lot but that’s enough to put me off watching it. I’d only be hiding behind my pillow the entire time and I love sleep sooo…

Taking to social media, many have described it as ‘terrifying’ and ‘creepy’, while putting out warnings to others about not watching it just before they go to bed. Yeah, I can’t imagine that’d be a very good idea.

If you are a fan of the horror genre and fancy losing some sleep though, it sounds like both Thurman and Alyra Rose’s performances are putting viewers at the edge of their seats so I’d give it a watch.

Although fans are saying it isn’t quite as terrifying as The Haunting of Hill House, Joyscribe report it’s creepy in a completely different, more sinister, way.

My one word of advice is just to come prepared with your pillows in case it gets too scary.

Chambers is available to watch now on Netflix.
