Netflix is releasing its own dating show and it’s got all the drama that Love Island would bring, combined with the mystery famous 90s show Blind Date brought.

The Netflix exclusive Love Is Blind will hit US screens tomorrow, February 13, and will be perfect for any singletons to binge watch this Valentine’s Day.

Most shows have a cash prize or a simple, paid for date as the prize, but this show’s winners get, well, married.

You can watch the trailer for the dramatic new show here:

Already hooked? Me too.

Thirty singletons go into the isolated ‘pods’ (which aren’t as sinister as they sound) and talk to their potential future wife/husband through a wall. After just 10 days, the pair then decided whether to get engaged or leave the show single.

Unlike with most other shows, you properly get to see the couples meet their families and plan their shotgun weddings. One contestant even says the marriage is ‘tearing me and this family apart’. Damn.

You really do see see the good, the bad, and the ugly take place within the contestants’ relationships.

Netflix gave the following synopsis for its new show:

Is love really blind? Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey bring together single people looking to meet the person they want to spend the rest of their lives with… without ever seeing them. They’ll go on dates with a catch: they don’t meet face-to-face.

With no distractions from the outside world, the singles talk to potential love interests and when a meaningful connection is made, they propose before laying their eyes on their fiancé for the first time. Engaged and back in the real world, as the couples plan their wedding day, they will quickly discover whether they can turn their emotional connection into a physical one before the fast-approaching ceremony.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey host the show and constantly remind the contestants of the big question: is love really blind?

At the beginning of the show, the hosts explain that psychologists believe that emotional connection is the key to long-term marital success, not physical attraction . Surely fancying the pants off your other half helps though, right?

Co-host of the show Vanessa tweeted last month:

With Valentines Day coming up, who’s ready to #NetflixAndChill? LITERALLY!!I’m so excited for you to see this Love experiment asking the question, “Is love truly blind?” What do you think…

Love is Blind will air Episodes 1-4 on February 13, Episodes 5-9 on February 20, and a two-hour finale Episode 10 on February 27 on Netflix (in the US).
