Starring Uma Thurman – of Kill Bill fame – the newest horror series on the block has had people jumping out of their skin and claiming it’s ‘the scariest thing’ they have ever seen. And that’s just the trailer.

Billed as young adult horror, the narrative follows a young woman, Sasha Yazzi, played by Sivan Alyra Rose, given a life-saving heart transplant after an organ donor died.
Series creator Leah Rachel said in a press release:
Taking place in a mystic, New Age pocket of Arizona, Chambers is a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolize trauma.
But what starts out as a grounded human story eventually pivots into something far more strange and fucked up than you were expecting.
The trailer was dropped on YouTube on April 10 and has since been watched by nearly half a million avid horror seekers, who have shared their excitement for the show in the comments section in droves.
Of the moment a rat has his tail chopped off, April Pryor wrote:
I physically jumped. Seriously the scariest thing I have ever seen in a trailer.
Charlene Luvambu seems resigned to watching it even though she knows she’s ‘not gonna sleep well’ and a commentator going by Philly Prince thinks it looks ‘gnarly’.
Others were over the moon to see Thurman make her Netflix Original debut, while Scandal and Tony Goldwyn fans were taken with his demo of some eerie-looking yoga in the trailer.
Commentators have compared the upcoming series aesthetic and style to Hereditary.
The plot, some add, is not too dissimilar to that of The Eye, a 2008 film starring Jessica Alba, which sees a woman plagued by the supernatural after an eye transplant.
Chambers is released on Netflix UK & Ireland on April 26, 2019.
