It’s time to admit that this fourth season of Love Island hasn’t been the best, has it?
There’s not been anywhere enough drama, ‘The Do Bits Society’ hasn’t met once because no one’s doing bits, and the best islander ‘Maura’ only came in halfway through.
I don’t know what’s happened to the once-great show -and it was great in its prime – but it seems to have lost its teeth a little this year, with the islanders more concerned with their post Island careers to risk doing anything even slightly raunchy.
While we can all agree that selling teeth whitening kits on Instagram is a noble profession, the lack of drama has left me yearning for the show’s early years when things were a little more exciting.
Thankfully there’s a fresh reality sensation on the horizon which may scratch that itch for me, Temptation Island, which promises to be one of the most explosive reality TV shows ever.
Here’s how it works, real-life couples enter a house and are separated almost immediately, just like Love Island’s Casa Amor.
The guys go to one villa where a dozen female models are living while the gals live with a dozen attractive men, and the basic idea is they have to avoid the temptation of cheating on their partners.
Temptation Island apparently selects its contestants who are at a pivotal time in their relationships and helps them decide if they’re ready to commit to each other for the rest of their lives or if they should go their separate ways.
I take it back that sounds horrifying, I don’t want to watch this.
According to The Sun the very first episode viewers will see a man licking something off a woman’s body, while another pair are seen getting intimate in a swimming pool and another enjoys ‘getting to know one another’ in bed.

Temptation Island was first released in 2001 and originally ran for three seasons (each of them hosted by Mark Wahlberg) before it was cancelled by Fox TV for the sake of common decency because of bad ratings.
The show was resurrected earlier this year (with Wahlberg back as host) and was popular enough to get a second season.
Temptation Island airs on E! on August 4.
