With all the year’s Geordie Shore stars have been punching walls it was only a matter of time before one of them got scouted.
And it is former oil worker Aaron Chalmers that is making the move from reality star to martial artist, signing up for his first ever MMA bout.
Chalmers, who has been training with UK fight company Bamma, is reported by MTV to be on the card for a fight at the Liverpool Olympia in September of this year.

He told MTV:
I’m not going to lie, I think the other Geordies are more excited than I am. Gaz is wanting to walk out with us! I’m like “It’s not the UFC Gary, it’s just a venue in Liverpool!
Now the fight’s booked in, the plan is to stick to a strict diet and put on as much muscle as possible. It’s pretty strict.
I’m not gonna lie, because we’ve just filmed Geordie Shore I have been drinking but not since we’ve been out of the house and I don’t plan on drinking any time soon because I want to get in fighting shape.
He added:
If I had the chance to take on MMA fighting professionally then yes I would, once Geordie Shore is all over. I want to try and keep Geordie Shore and the fights, they’re my two main objectives.
Well they are two entirely different worlds, hopefully for Chalmers he won’t end up posting any more Instagram images like this one…
Details on who he will be facing are yet to be announced.
