Gordon Ramsay once said ‘never trust a fat chef’, and while he was never particularly big, at one point, you could see his beautiful dad bod creeping in.
Apparently, we all – well heterosexual women – find a dad bod the most attractive shape, but Ramsay has chosen pure muscle definition instead.
It seems the shouty-chef has embarked on a healthy lifestyle of late…
The formerly-angry-but-now-seemingly-quite-mellow chef, has posted a photo on social media, showing him at the beach – post-surf – looking pretty svelte.
Having trained hard to complete Ironman, the ‘Iron Chef’ looks years younger and in great shape.
This is still my favourite transformation though:
51-year-old Ramsay is doing the Ironman triathlon to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
He posted the photo to Instagram with the caption:
Iron Chef to Ironman for @greatormondst #teamramsay London Triathlon can’t wait! Great way to shake off jet lag…. good luck and congrats to all athletes and a BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteers & sponsors couldn’t do it with out you ! @will_usher_precision_coach @iamspecialized_tri @huubdesign @_jackrams3y_ @megan__ramsay.
One commenter wrote in support of the charity, saying:
Amazing! My son is 6 and currently receiving chemotherapy for a brain tumour at GOSH.
It’s an amazing hospital with amazing nurses who have been taking very good care of my son.
Social media fans of the chef were shocked to see his new physique, with many commenting asking if he’d had surgery.
It’s clearly a lot of hard work, and one fan wrote: ‘this is what peak performance looks like’.
Fans also made the joke of ‘never trust the skinny chef’.
Just earlier this year, merciless online trolls fat-shamed Gordon Ramsay after his appearance on This Morning.
The notorious chef was laying waste to the studio kitchen, dazzling presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes as he prepared a chicken traybake.
But this wasn’t the most noticeable thing to some shallow viewers.
Taking to social media, the 51-year-old was torn apart by fat-shamers who were perplexed by Ramsay’s appearance.
One scorned:
Has Gordon eaten his body weight in lard… or been attacked by a vicious nurse with a vat full of filler… that should be the new this morning comp… [sic]
Another jibed:
Well Gordon Ramsay has put on a few lbs! Is that really him? [sic]
A third laughed:
My star sign today forecast that I would be faced with something ‘truly shocking’. Me, I thought? Never. Then I saw Gordon Ramsay’s ‘haircut’. Shocking doesn’t quite do it justice. [sic]
Talking on This Morning, Gordon spoke about how he does two Ironman triathlons per year, one full and one half.
He does it with his whole family, and brought out a ‘healthy eating’ cook book.
According to the Daily Record, Ramsay claimed fat-shaming helped motivate him get into shape, so maybe that’s what did it?
He said:
I was 17st… aged 34, I needed to get my sh*t together. My father died of a heart attack at 53 and would still be living today had he taken care of himself.
The pressure on a chef is far greater than ever before because of image. If you walk into the dining room to talk to customers, you cannot be out of shape and sweating like a pig.
Chin up, Gordon. Don’t let these f*cking idiots get you f*cking down. You look f*cking incredible.
