Real Full Monty Ladies Leave Audience In Tears With Surprise Finale

The women who performed the Real Full Monty on ITV left the audience in tears with their bid to raise breast cancer awareness.

Eight women in the public eye – from TV show hosts to reality stars – bared all on the tele after an emotional journey to body confidence, with some joyfully crying after the show was over.

Ringleder Coleen Nolan – of Loose Women fame – was joined on stage by Victoria Derbyshire and former pop star Michelle Heaton, who had both had mastectomies and were fearful of showing their scars in public.

Ahead of the show, Victoria, who publicly battled breast cancer, said:

This process has made me really happy. I’ve had such a good time. Tonight there might be someone watching who learns something about breast cancer they didn’t know before and it might save their life. And that is massive.

Nolan herself lost a sister, Bernie, to cancer and her sister Linda revealed she’s terminally ill with cancer after spending years with the all clear.

Emmerdale‘s Sally Dexter and Hi-De-Hi‘s Ruth Madoc also took to the stage, after sharing their concerns about body image with the viewing public throughout the series, Real Full Monty Live: Ladies Night.

ITV‘s stalwart reality TV show, The Only Way Is Essex, got a look in thanks to Megan McKenna, who came to prominence after appearing on Ex On The Beach.

DJ and presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford was among the eight who went on various excursions, including one to the Moulin Rouge in Paris, to try on the perfect outfit and gain confidence in their sex appeal.

Helen Lederer – who played Catriona in Ab Fab back in the nineties – was also a part of the series, which was inspired by televised efforts to raise awareness for male cancers in 2017.

TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent, EastEnders actor John Partridge, The Wanted singer Tom Parker, former footballer John Hartson, chef Ainsley Harriot, TV presenters Jeff Brazier and Dominic Littlewood, former rugby international Ugo Monye, Pointless host Alexander Armstrong and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo all took part.

After male celebs took to the stage for a triumphant performance – which sparked complaints to Ofcom – it was the turn of the women to strip off for charity on the ITV1 show.

Banjo also choreographed a routine for the ladies group to This Is Me, a song from film The Greatest Showman, which empowered the girls to get their kits off and inspired viewers.

Those watching were utterly amazed at the courage of the women involved, and felt empowered to check their boobs as soon as they could.
