Whilst filming scenes for the second season of The Grand Tour it was reported that presenter Richard Hammond was involved in a motorcycle incident.

The presenter was filming scenes for the popular Amazon show when he fell off his motorcycle and was left unconscious. Given his previous accident on BBC’s Top Gear left fans very concerned.

However Hammond has since taken to his website, Drivetribe, to reassure fan’s that he’s perfectly fine.

He confirmed to his fans that he did indeed suffer an accident whilst filming and offered:

Thanks for enquiries re my slight shunt whilst filming for GT. I can confirm that yes, I fell off a bike, many times in fact, and yes, I banged my head and everything else. But life goes on.

As mentioned before this is Hammond’s second automobile accident. Back in 2006, whilst still presenting on Top Gear with Grand Tour co-presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May, he had to be air lifted to hospital after crashing a high-powered jet car at 288 mph. The life threatening condition left him in a coma for two weeks.

Clarkson, Hammond and May flew to Mozambique to film the latest episode of The Grand Tour and it’s believed to be where his accident may have occurred. Thankfully it seems like this one wasn’t as dangerous… still, it seems like he loves dicing with death, we hope he doesn’t have some kind of death wish for entertainments-sake.
